Turner series got even better. After book 2, I didn’t think that possible, but id. Introduced are more members of Jack’s family. Renee, Jack’s Grandmother has an exciting story, set during World War II.

From the first bomb dropped on France, (Renee’s home) to Spitfire dogfights, the bombing
of London and the French resistance movement, the story kept me on the edge of my imagination. Tension, fear, love, hatred all experienced as the pages turned.

I couldn’t put the book down and lost sleep. Exciting and fast-paced story.

Where Treasure Hides

At Waterloo station, artist
Alison Schuyler meets Ian Devlin, and a love story begins.

 

A good book is interesting,
a great book, one gets so caught up in reading that time slips by without
effort. I found myself so entrenched in the pages of Where Treasure Hides that
hours flew by.

 

Love seems deeper when the
backdrop is war. World War II has begun, with danger everywhere. Two are in love but separated. Would they get back
together? Tension rose as each page turned.

 

Alison works with the underground
to save Jewish children. This element in the story brought many tears to my
eyes. I couldn’t help but get a little closer to my children.

 

Where Treasure Hides by
Johnnie Alexander has become one of my favorite reads. After reading the last
page, I found myself missing the characters and reviewing the scenes.

 

This is most definitely a Five-Star Read, and I look forward to more books by
Johnnie.

Remembering Dresden by Dan Walsh

In, Remembering Dresden, the reader travels to Dresden, Germany. Bombs fall from British and American planes, wiping out an entire town. The story follows one particular family during those horrible days.

 

The reader then travels to the
present with Jack Turner working on a college paper titled, Dresden.

My Thoughts:

One can’t help but like Jack and Rachel, from When Night Comes, the first book in this series. (It’s not necessary to read this book first, only recommended.)

 

When I started reading Remembering Dresden, I couldn’t stop. Suspense and mystery kept me going. The mystery was set-up in the first section of the book, and suspense had me wondering what was going to happen next.

I enjoy Dan’s writing style. It’s simple, yet the characters are complex. I look forward to the next book in this series.
