I love the O’Malley Seven. Kate, Jennifer, Lisa, Rachel Stephen, Jack and Marcus. All abandoned or orphaned as teens, who have made the choice to become a loyal, committed family.

The Guardian focused on U.S. Marshall Marcus O’Malley. He met directionally challenged Shari when she mistakenly opened the security door. Sparks flew immediately.

A federal judge murdered. Only one witness. Shari.

Now it’s Marcus’s responsibility to keep her safe.

I enjoyed this book more for the characters than the plot. (Plot was excellent.) I can’t seem to get enough of the family. Each one is interesting. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Amazon Review:  It’s a military thriller with a heart. Commander Mark Steele has an exciting job in Special Forces. Though it’s dangerous, he knows his work is critically important. But that job separates him from his wife and child. When an injury brings him home, his wife is glad to have him back. But other issues cause struggles within the family, leading to distrust and hurt. Steele takes dangerous risks in his new work. The thriller plot thickens, as he seeks to save a life. But can he save his family?
