This book took me into the south during the Civil War.  I shed tears as the battle raged against friends and family.  As usual with any Gilber Morris book, I grew to know a famous person.  Stonewall Jackson, a colorful, tactful Southern General.  Yancy a personal attendant, shows the human side to this strong military leader.   I felt I was in the Civil War.  I felt like bullets and canons sounded next to me.  This was a great book that moved me emotionally.
